What the Accelerator is
The Retention Editing Accelerator is a six-week cohort for YouTubers and video editors who want to keep viewers watching longer. Instead of reading about retention on your own, you work through our system step by step, apply it to your own videos every week, and get direct feedback on what to change.
It's built on the same four-stage system we use with our agency clients: a retention diagnostic, an editing system overhaul, a hook and structure redesign, and consistency so the improvements compound. It's the system behind results like Imperial, a finance channel that grew from 200K to 500K subscribers in 8 months.

The six weeks
- Week 1: Retention diagnostic. Learn to read your retention graph second by second and find the exact moments viewers leave in your last five videos.
- Week 2: Hooks and the first 30 seconds. Rebuild your openings: payoff first, clear stakes, open loops. You re-cut one of your own intros.
- Week 3: Structure and open loops. Plan videos in sections that keep pulling viewers forward, with chapters that support rather than interrupt.
- Week 4: Pacing and pattern interrupts. Cut dead air, add B-roll, on-screen text and visual resets so attention never drops in the middle.
- Week 5: Visualising dense ideas. Turn numbers, charts and complex explanations into visuals viewers can follow.
- Week 6: Consistency and compounding. Build a repeatable editing checklist and upload rhythm so every video improves on the last.

How much does the Accelerator cost?

When does the next cohort start?
Places are released to the waitlist first. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the start date and details before anyone else.
How much time does it take each week?
Plan for around 3–5 hours a week: one lesson, one live session, and applying the week's changes to one of your own videos.
Do I need to be a professional editor?
No. You need to be able to edit basic videos yourself or work with an editor. The Accelerator focuses on retention decisions, not software tutorials.
What's the difference between the Accelerator and the book?
The book gives you the system to apply on your own. The Accelerator adds structure, deadlines and weekly feedback on your own videos, which is where most people get stuck.
